Rovos Rail Pretoria to Cape Town Itinerary:

DAY 1: PRETORIA | A GRAND DEPARTURE Depart Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria and settle into your elegant suite. As the train glides across the goldfields of the Witwatersrand and the Highveld plains, enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, and a refined dinner served in the dining cars. Unwind in the lounge or observation car before an overnight journey toward Klerksdorp.

DAY 2: KIMBERLEY | DIAMONDS & HISTORY Arrive in Kimberley for a guided visit to the Diamond Mine Museum and the iconic Big Hole. Meals are served on board as the journey continues through South Africa's historic heartland.

DAY 3: MATJIESFONTEIN | KAROO CHARM Travel through the dramatic landscapes of the Karoo. Disembark at Matjiesfontein to explore this beautifully preserved Victorian village, or enjoy a guided walk in from Whitehill Siding. Back on board, savor afternoon tea and dinner as the train descends the escarpment toward the Cape.

DAY 4: CAPE TOWN | ARRIVAL IN THE MOTHER CITY After breakfast, arrive at Cape Town Station. A Group T vehicle will be delivered by Europcar directly to the station upon arrival. From here you will take a drive to the Pepperclub Hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 5: CAPE TOWN | AT LEISURE Breakfast at the hotel followed by a full day to explore Cape Town at your own pace, with the convenience of your hired vehicle.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Drive to Cape Town International Airport and return your vehicle to Europcar. Board your flight to Johannesburg, marking the end of your journey.
